Hello CMA Families -

This is Summer Season week 5 of 9

An 'at a glance' weekly update for this week 

*July Practice Calendar is now Available on the Team Website 

Quick notes:

  • Normal week of practice M-TH
  • No Regular Practice Friday @ Apollo, No LCM practice Friday 
  • TEAM LAKE SWIM on Friday (7/3) !!!!!! 
  • Registration required so we have a head count for treats 
  • When: Friday, July 3rd, Swim Starts at 7:30 am
  • Where: Warner Lake, 1485 Co Rd 143, Clearwater, MN 55320
  • Who: River Sharks, Quarry Sharks, Apex Predators, Senior, Senior Elite, National
  • What: Swimmers will swim across the lake and back (approx. 1 min), older athletes are welcome to complete the swim 2x if they choose
  • How: Swimmers will need an empty gallon jug (milk, water, whatever as long as its plastic) and some rope to tie this jug to them - this is a safety precaution and a requirement
  • Why: Because it's a fun team activity!

Meets / Events Updates:

  • NEW MEET ADDED! >> Bronze Level / Pre Bronze meet added for Friday, June 10th - Registration closes June 30th 
  • Short Course Yards Meet (Same Size pool as our practice locations)
  • Intended for Bronze & Novice level swimmers, Must have competed in a meet before 
  • MN Regional Championships are posted and open for registration - Closes June 30th
  • All State Meets are posted and open for registration

A look ahead: 

  • On Fridays we will have LCM practice available for athletes. Each Friday will be open to specific training groups to give our athletes opportunities to train long course during the LCM Championship season. Which groups are eligible is noted in the registration for the week as well as in the weekly update. 
  • Championship Meets are rapidly approaching! This means athletes will shift towards taper and focusing on meet skills the week of MRCs. Please note athletes will have more energy than normal - PLEASE encourage them to save it for race day! Rest, Hydrate and prepare to swim fast!
